Technical Manager (m / f / d)
The newly created position is outstanding for the development and implementation of the strategic goals at our location in Pune, India. The site is to be expanded into a global engineering hub for engineering (mechanical, electrical) and the automation of our products in the pharmaceutical & food sector.
For this we are looking for a manager who will consistently build and expand the location with technical expertise and entrepreneurial skill in conjunction with the management at the headquarters in Osnabrück.
In individual, coordinated steps, responsibility for the maintenance of individual products is to be transferred from Osnabrück to the Pune location. The task is to maintain the products and to put together order-specific solutions based on existing machines and assemblies. In this context, the engineering of described but not implemented solutions belongs to the area of responsibility.
The job holder is responsible for the search, selection and hiring of suitable employees. It guarantees the quality of the work results in compliance with the order-related target costs and deadlines. Regular exchanges with those responsible for the discipline at the headquarters as well as ensuring smooth communication at the operational level are the main tasks of the job holder.
Management and disciplinary responsibility of the technical department at the site
Responsibility for order engineering, including software, in line with deadlines, quality and costs
Planning, structuring, monitoring and optimizing processes to ensure quality and adherence to planned deadlines
Capacity and personnel planning as well as taking appropriate measures for personnel development
Coordination and optimization of all activities necessary for processing
Ensuring communication between the sites
Regular reporting to the head office
The Technical Manager leads the teams integratively and manages the relevant interfaces. In doing so, he ensures a relevant flow of communication and information. He actively promotes teamwork of the engineering teams consisting of mechanical design, electrical design and software creation.
He reports to the CEO in the Pune location (local / disciplinary) and the Head of Project Management (global / functional).
The ideal candidate has a strong entrepreneurial mindset coupled with leadership skills and high competencies in interface management.
He or she possesses a high degree of independence and initiative to further optimize processes and procedures. In doing so, he maintains a pragmatic and results-oriented approach.
With a pronounced hands-on mentality, he supports his team in achieving their goals.
In addition, he brings along very good technical know-how, an analytical way of thinking as well as a distinct ability to make decisions and delegate.

Successful completion of an engineering degree (B.Sc.) in the field of mechanical engineering (preferred) or process engineering or electrical engineering, combined with an additional degree in business administration M.Sc.
Several years of experience in engineering of process engineering systems, ideally with a focus on food and pharmaceutical applications
Several years of management experience in the described field of activity
Proven track record in building and leading interdisciplinary engineering team
Knowledge of PLC programming
English language skills at C1 level, German language skills desirable
