Area Sales Manager (m/f/d)

Objectives of this role:

  • Responsible for the sales of competitive systems, machines and service products in the food industry and related sectors, as well as managing the worldwide network of representatives.
  • Independent support of our national and international customers.
  • Independent support of national and international customers with the aim of long-term and positive customer relationships.
  • Strategic and sales-oriented customer support in order to achieve sustainable positive customer loyalty.
  • Providing technical advice to customers, preparing and following up offers and negotiating the commercial framework conditions through to the conclusion of the contract.
  • Implementation of structured sales processes using Salesforce as a CRM system.
  • Expansion of sales activities with a focus on increasing sales and conquering the market.
  • Targeted acquisition of new customers and competent support to win new customers.
  • Continuous market and competition analysis as well as sales planning based on regular sales forecasts.
  • Support in marketing activities, implementation of webinars and participation in trade fairs for customer acquisition.



  • Completed studies or training in mechanical engineering or a similar field.
  • Proven sales experience in the B2B environment.
  • Ideally experience in selling machines and systems for the food industry.
  • Ability to establish new business relationships at decision-maker level.
  • Sensitivity to customer needs and solution-oriented thinking.
  • Strong communication, organizational and assertiveness skills as well as hands-on mentality and drive for long-term business success.
  • Business fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage.
  • Strong willingness to travel at home and abroad.
  • Confident handling of standard software and CRM systems; IT affinity is a prerequisite.
